Today as I tidied the computer desk the word ‘Hope’ fell out, it was from a game that Kerry had made based on the Olympic values. This afternoon, my darling opened her eyes and squeezed my hand. I ‘hope’ she knows it was me. Like every other day, today has been an emotional but more than anything today has been a day of ‘hope’

I’m sure that’s a sign and all will turn out well. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you all. Keep strong!

Lets Hope you are (like us) going to be the luckiest, unluckiest people. Unlucky because you have had to go through this (we had childhood leukemia) but lucky that you grow stronger as a family as a result and lucky when Kerry is safely at home, writting this blog again and with her amazing family. Hang in there. From my experience with the nhs, with life threatening illness, they are amazing. Kerry has alot to get better for. That will get her fighting!
I recognise the little card with the word “hope”. We used it at the last confirmation preparation session before the Summer break. We were asked to choose one word to complete the sentence “My Faith gives me…”. Kerry had chosen “Hope”.
Tonight we had our first session without Kerry. A candle was lit for her, we prayed, we missed her.
