Sweets from the past!

As part of  Kate Takes 5 listography challenge, she has asked us to go retro and remember our childhood sweets. To be honest I am definitely more of a chocolate girl, but I do remember as a child, every summer when we stayed at my Nana’s, she would give us 20p (which we at the time thought was a fortune!) to buy sweets to last us the week.

My sister always spent half her money on these rainbow puff things, which tasted like paper, but they always lasted out the week and she would taunt my brother and I with the fact she still had sweets left!

I always found that I liked the 2p sweets more than the 1p ones but off course less for your money and they don’t last as long!

So here we go, my top five choices of sweets from my past!

1. Pink shrimps

2. White chocolate mice

3. Icy cups

4. Black Jacks

5. Mini eggs

So come on, what were your favourites?

My God those pink shrimps look foul! Whoever thought that that was a good idea?!

I quite liked them at the time, although thinking about it they were a bit like foam!

We have 2 sweet shops in my town that are exactly like the good ol' days. I remember our Post Office use to have jars of sweets we could get weighed out for us!
I love mini eggs, chocolate jazzies and those sugar sticks that were so addictive and full of sugary goodness! I still get the sticks every so often. Chocolate Jazzies can be bit tricky to find, though some cinemas seem to have them.

White mice were one of my favourite too! Icy cups! I had forgotten about those! They didn't quite taste like chocolate if I remember rightly..
