Scrapbooking! A hoarder of memories!

I can’t help it. I am a memory addict! I just love keeping things that mean something to me to look back on over the years. Since my husband and I started dating I have scrap booked every card, note and ticket of things we have been too together. I keep thank you cards and order of services and all sorts. I am a total addict. It may be why I am obsessed with post too!

When BBwas born I kept everything and I organised into a scrapbook of his first year of his life! In it is all sorts of things. I don’t know if he will ever want it but I will treasure it forever. It is pure pleasure, the combination of memory storing and craft! Sadly I don’t have the same amount of time for it and the twins scrap books are yet to be done.

So I thought I would share with you Noah’s scrapbook.

So here we have the front of the book. Mine was bought from The range but most craft shops to them. It will be your biggest outlay but worth it. I also advice you buy an extra packet of the wallets to go inside!

This is my first double page, it includes the Name card and wrist band he got in hospital, his first tiniest sock, some photographs, the balloon weight and his announcement card!

It includes many pages of his firsts, like the Zoo trip shown. Many of the crafty bits were actually purchased from the zoo itself (not one to miss an opportunity for stationary!)

Other pages include the massage course, the reading group certificates at the library and the first wedding he attended and his first holiday.

I also added in information like the pram he had, his first piece of post (I know, I am obsessed with memories!)

I also did a page on his statistics, his star signs and his firsts of everything, like first rolled over, sat up etc.

First Christmas! Keep cards and pictures and old decorations for craft aids.

So there you have it… a few pages of the first year of Noah’s life! I have so much left to do in terms of memories…I have my photo books to create and the twins scrap books to do and I really want to get back into crafting. Just does not seem to be enough hours in the day. I hope you like the book and I really recommend making one if you have a small child or baby. Try to do it as you go along because back dating takes a long time!

Its fab, I have bought a scrapbook to do for Mads but I haven't got round to doing it yet cause I keep blogging instead!

wow, you are so good. I filled a calendar out for the Sam's first year, very tooth, doctors appt, word, everything….Hanna's books are still empty …and Jack hasn't even got any!
I have all good intentions but not enough hours in the day, like you say. But now you have your blog there is no need for a book!

Ive always admired the art of scrapbooking….love the idea of collecting memories in a box, then transfereing them to a book…youve done a lovely job! I only seem to get to the box stage! ;(

Oh I love scrapbooking. I haven't made a big one yet though – I think that might be one of my next projects.

    Thanks for linking up!

How lovely, something for Noah to treasure as well! I am no where near organised for that kind of stuff but what a fab idea :-) x

    Oh this is so beautiful.

I still have all the cards and wrapping paper from my daughter's gifts when she was first born. She's just turned 3 now and I wish I had time to do something like this.

    One day!

I really wish scrapbooking was something I could do – I just don't have the eye, or the patience – I'm also terrible at filling in the boys books with the dates of their 'firsts' – I do hoard everything though – we have five memory boxes; one is full of things special to my relationship with hubby, one for each boy, one for our wedding and one for the planning of the wedding and our dreamhouse! I may just have to blog about them now!

Thank you everyone, I really do enjoy making them. I just wish I had a weekend baby free so I could get the twins ones done! x

What a wonderful scrapbook. I made a few scrapbooks when I was a kid, but have never been organised enough to make anything like that for the kids! I am sure Noah will love looking through that as he grows :)
