Questions and Answers!

I have been tagged three times by the Boyandme, Polythene Pram and Mummy and the beastie for the Guardian Q and A Meme. There are a quite a few meme’s about at the moment and I really behind, but I am slowly catching up with them. This one though is a good one, as it reveals quite a lot about people.

Which living person do you most admire, and why?
My husband. He is one of the worlds most naturally approachable, kind, and considerate people. He is calm and collected, thoughtful, sensitive and has a natural dominance about him, so he is never challenged despite being as thin as a rake! People trust him and value his opinion and judgement. He had such a kind heart and strong moral fibre. I hope all my children grow to have personalities like their Daddy.
When were you happiest
From the moment I found out I was expecting. Life has changed so much and I have faced a few challenges along the way but I am my most content now.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
I locked myself out of our old house naked and had to walk to my husbands work in a long coat and knee high boots to get the key. Sounds kinky but it was far from it as I then had to ring my Dad from the school to pick me up so I didn’t have to walk back and he wet himself laughing. I only tell you this now, because he told everyone in his Father of the bride speech anyway!
Aside from property, what’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought?
I was married by 22 and a student before then so money has always been ours rather than mine. I learned to drive late (24) so have never had my own car either. I think it might have been a camera I bought for hubby’s 30th when I was 20 and it was over £100 and I thought that was a fortune at the time.
What is your most treasured possession?
Not really one for possessions but probably my photo books. Aside from my family, they would be the first thing I would try to save in a disaster. I am a hoarder on memories!
Where would you like to live?
In the same village in a slightly larger house!
What’s your favourite smell?
Baby powder, hubby’s aftershave and petrol! I quite like a freshly lit fag too but I don’t smoke.
Who would play you in the film of your life?
I would think someone like Julia Roberts – she has a big smile like me and has had twins so would get the difficulties!
What is your favourite book?
Too many…Beloved, Curious incident of the dog in the Night Time, The Other Boleyn Girl, Goodnight Mister Tom, Matilda, The lovely Bones
What is your most unappealing habit?
I bite my nails!
What would be your fancy dress costume of choice?
Pride and Prejudice style!
What is your earliest memory?
Asking my Dad to cut open a £1 coin so I could see all the 100 pennies! I did not understand that it was worth 100 pennies.
What is your guiltiest pleasure?
Chocolate without a shadow of a doubt! There is no such thing as too much!
What do you owe your parents?
Nothing financially, I have never borrowed, but everything in terms of who I am. They have supported and encouraged every life choice I have made.
To whom would you most like to say sorry, and why?
At the moment my little boy – for not being patient enough with his potty training. It has stressed us all, and I have made him cry.
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
My husband.
What does love feel like?
A warm blanket, safe and secure.
What was the best kiss of your life?
I suppose it must be the one I married! ;)
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
I use ‘Really?’ as a question a lot and ‘In terms of! Really annoys me but I can’t stop!
What is the worst job you’ve done?
I worked in a Jewellery shop and I got fired! I was too trustworthy and too careless and would leave people with trays of gold to get other bits for them to look at. Luckily for me nothing was taken but I was useless! I was only 15!
If you could edit your past, what would you change?
A time when I lost myself (about 4 years ago) but I’m found, but it was a dark time.
What is the closest you’ve come to death?
I don’t think I have been but when I had hyperemesis with the twins it is the poorliest I have ever been. I definitely looked like death.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My family
When did you last cry, and why?
When I got stressed out over BBand the potty – we both cuddled and cried
How do you relax?
Blogging, eating yummy dinners, craft, pamper sessions when I can afford them which is never now. Slobbing in front of the telly!
What single thing would improve the quality of your life?
Money to have a bigger house – it controls everything. I detest that!
What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
So far? That the grass is never greener, it is just the fence is so high you can’t see over it! If you tend to your own grass you can make it as green as any ones!
Now because I am so behind everyone had probably already been tagged but I shall tag the following:

Fascinating insight into you missus. Why were you naked outside the house? Bless you with the £1 coin.

Ha ha my first reaction was our conversation is going to be really good. Really? oh really? Sometimes I think I tell myself to stop saying it and then it makes me worse. Love your last question, never heard it described that way but it's very true! :-) xx
