We are not the kind of family that shy away from venturing outdoors when the sun is not out. When you live and holiday in the UK, you know that the weather can be unpredictable and so we are always set up for most weather occasions. When on holiday in the summer we still ensure we still have rain macs and wellies in the boots of the car!
However when the weather warms up and takes you by surprise, we are also not ones to waste the opportunity to be out in the delights of the suns smiling rays.
The succession of wet weather lately has been actually quite drab and depressing. The constant low cloud line, makes you feel pressured in and the greyness is so gloomy. It is what I call Eeyore weather and I can totally understand why some people suffer from Seasonal effective disorder.
However this weekend brightened my spirits no end. The sun not only popped round to play, but decided to stay for tea too and in the delight of his company my husband and I decided to put the paddling pool up! Now this paddling pool was bought as a present and was huge. We do not have an electric pump so had to blow it up with human air between us! An hour later and we felt very dizzy but proud of ourselves.
This Sunshine shot was the reward for all our efforts.
Worth it, don’t you think?
Oh and a few others to give you a feel for the enormity of our lung capacity!
