I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am that the summer holiday’s are here! Mostly becasue my husband is a teacher and we get to spend six long weeks indulging as a family, in which means lots of days out and fun actvities planned.
One of those activities is a workshop being held at the V and A Museum of ChildhoodLondon in partnership with VTech toys titled VTech Digi-fun looking at ways to ‘introduce children to the exciting possibilities of the digital word in a fun and engaging way.’
The workshops are aimed for 4-9 olds and last 1 hour and are focusing around photography, film and editing using some of VTech toys as aids such as the VTech kiddizoom camera! It is a great way to introduce your children to technology! There will be a hands on approach with lots of activities to get them engaged and exploring the digital world. I shall imagine it will teach me something too!
The workshops are being held on Saturdays all through the summer holidays at 2pm and the best bit about them is that they are free, you just need to book your session. After the session you could then take a little tour of the museum as there is lots of look at!
VTech Digi-Fun Family Workshops are running Saturdays, 23, 30 July and 6, 13, 20, 27 August 2011 14.00-15.00. To book please visit www.vam.ac.uk
We are are already booked in, along with a trip to the Sea Aquarium in the morning. Well, if you go to London you have to make a day of it! My hubby is coming with me so he will wander off with the twins for the hour whilst BBand I are in the workshop. I will write up the session and let you know all about it after but I am hoping you will book up and want to go as well, so maybe I will see you there! It sounds too good to miss to me.
I will also let you know how we cope with a two hour train ride with three littles ones and London itself. My comfort is knowing that London does contain children, so people deal with the city everyday…it must be possible to get from A to B unscathed!
