Welcome back to Family Frolics.
Most of you that have read my blog this week, will know that we went to see the Gruffalo Live and that we were very disappointed by it. If you are thinking of going I suggest you read my review first! Despite this you will also know that BBis a hard core Gruffalo fan and we frequently read the book!
It is that story time moment that I just love with Noah, when we do the voices of the characters and read it snuggled up on his bed.
I was stunned and proud to find that the little man knows the words off by heart which I feel is pretty impressive at three years old.
So just for you, here is the cutest Gruffalo video ever.
Now we have read the Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson so many times we have now moved onto the Grufflo’s child which BBinsists on calling The Gruffalo and his baby!
Family Frolics time ladies and Gentleman, and last week superb entries as usual. My favourite last week has to be Coombe Mill, with their swimming in the river antics – brilliant. You have to see the video!
So come and link up and share your family fun this week. Can’t wait to read.
For the rules and guidelines click here, but please ensure you have included my badge (found in the right hand side margin) somewhere in the post or linked to me. Thank you. x
Just to add – the mad blogs awards have opened and I would love you to consider a nomination for either Family Fun or Family life. Big hugs and smiles if you do. x

Oh bless him! The Gruffalo is a favourite in our house too, I may get Noah to read to my daughter tomorrow – double whammy for her y’see, fave book read by cute older boy!
Ah the Gruffallo is such a classic, mine all adored it too. Thank you for the lovely mention. My kids have been up to some different water antics this week so will link up again x
he is 3???? He is gorgeous!
Yes he is! Why thank you. I think so but then every Mummy does, don’t they? x
Shame you didn’t see a good show…but i think it looks more fun reading and snuggling in bed anyway…gorgeous little man!!
Oh we love to snuggle up with story time! x
So cute. Much better then any of those celebraties that read the bedtime hour. Can’t believe he is so eloquent at 3. True credit to you Kerry xc
Bless you. I was very impressed with him. xx
That is so adorable. What a cutie pie. We read The Gruffalo EVERYnignt at bedtime and the little guy absolutely loves it. I’m pretty sure hubby and I cAn could re its the whole book without actually reading it, and it’s so cute to think that the little guy might be ale to too one day. X
He will know it off by heart, I promise you. It is such a fab book. x
awww he is so sweet, Gruffalo is a fab book and mine all know it off by heart too
I am so impressed he has learnt it. it may be really normal but I just can’t believe the memory on kids! x
Awww very cute.
x
We love the Julia Donaldson books in the L-plate household. Little miss’s fav is ‘Stickman’ and she knows that word for word
Yes we have quite a few of her books. The smartest Giant in town is a fave too!
x
This made me MELT! So beautiful and no wonder you’re a proud Mummy! The Gruffalo is a favourite of ours too (with the voices, of course!) It’s such a fab story for younger children, but now that Logan is getting older (7 last Sunday!) and his school work/homework getting more challenging, he’s used part of it as his example of rhyme and poetry and used it for his understanding and composition too. I’m sure that, although there will come a sad time when he grows out of it, in later years, he’ll love it again enough to read to his own children
xxx
Disappointed you didn’t rate the stage show highly. Logan saw it on a nursery day trip a couple of years back, without me, but we didn’t get to see it this year as it was performed at such odd times for people with school-age children! I’m glad we didn’t bother now! xxx
I am dreading the day he grows out of it, but I suppose that is how it goes. I think he will always remember it. We were disappointed about the show, but you have to try these things. Another show may be brilliant! x
Such a cute video! We love the Gruffalo too
We need to look for this book. It looks like you had such fun with it.
Thank you for linking to Read.Explore.Learn.
You must order it, it is awesome!
Very very cute! Bless him. xx
This looks great, so much fun. xx
Oh my goodness Noah is sooooo adorable! That has really made me smile. JW loves to read The Gruffalo (well, he loves me to read it!) and The Gruffalo’s Child too and I can’t wait till he can talk enough to recite it! x
It will be a great moment! It made me melt! x
Adorable! And very very clever
As a very biased mummy I thought so! x
